BAI visited North-West Institute of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration

BAI delegation led by School Committee member Liu Honglei and consisted of Ma Zhanwen, Vice Director of the Department of Politics, Wang Jiansheng, Vice president of Labor Union, Zhu Dam, Vice Researcher of the Division of Student Affairs, Li Xiumei, Associate Professor of the Department of Law and Xie Tiancheng, Associate Professor of the Department of Economics, visited North-West Institute of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (thereafter referred to as North-West Institute) between May, 25th and 28th, 2014.


The delegations attended an academic workshop, during which Liu Honglei delivered a speech about his article “Strategic thoughts about regional development when building Beijing into a world class city”. The other members also shared with Russian participants their reports, such as “the role of mutual trust in the economic cooperation between China and Russia”, “the roles of labor unions in China and Russia”, ”talents training in economic and social development”, “legal backgrounds of protecting tangible cultural heritage in Beijing” and “regional planning and regional economic development in China”.


This visit generated rich results. Firstly, it effectively voiced the Chinese views, promoted Chinese culture and exhibited the image of a new China. Secondly, it deepened our friendship and carried forward cooperation between the two colleges. Lastly, it deepened BAI’s understanding of the Party’s mass line and educational practices and activities.
