From May, 11th to 15th, 2014, BAI delegation of five members led by Vice President Li Yanqi attended the international academic seminar “Government governance and cadre training in China and Vietnam”, under the invitation of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and Public Administration Area I. The delegation was consisted of Song Bing, Associate Professor of the Department Law, Wang Ying, Vice Director of the Dean’s Office, Dai Shan, Vice Director of the Department of Information and Dong Binyu, Lecturer of the Department Philosophy.
2014 marks the tenth anniversary of the friendship between the two schools and Vietnam held a ceremony for our delegation, where Vice President Dou Junnan from Vietnam and Li Yanqi from BAI delivered opening speeches. Li praised the ever growing cooperation, diverse forms and deeper contents of cooperation between the two sides and recommended that we lean more towards academic and practical cooperation in the future.
During this visit, BAI members attended two seminars, one was held on May, 12th and was themed “Government governance and cadre training in China and Vietnam”. Four out of five members gave keynote speeches under the topics of government governance and cadre training.
On May, 15th, with the company of Vice President Dou, BAI representatives visited Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and Public Administration Area II and attended a seminar of “Ho Chi Minh economic development and training of Area II”.
On those days, BAI members had two field visits to the tomb of President Ho Chi Minh and Cu Chi Tunnels.
This visit allows BAI delegation to realize that Vietnam is enjoying sound momentum of economic and social development, open mindset, rich resources and good ecological environment. Together with the two colleges in Vietnam, BAI shoulders the arduous task of training party leaders and government officials with international competitiveness, horizon and cutting-edge information.
