Vice President Han Jiugen led BAI delegation to visit Russia

2013-11-12

During April 21st and 27th, 2013, BAI delegation of academic exchange consisted of six people under the leadership of Vice President Han Jiugen successfully visited the North-West Institute of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration and generated remarkable results.

This visit enjoys three features: First, full preparation ahead of the visit. The preparation work started since May, 2012. Every team member selected the topics of academic lectures and designed the Chinese and English teaching materials with delicate care and also presented the outlines and materials to the Russian side. Second, high attention from both sides. The foreign affairs offices from both sides made considerate arrangement and organization with rich contents by combining academic lectures, exchanges on scientific research and field visits. Third, marked achievements. This visit left a deep impression on the Russian side, whether it’s academic lectures, exchange on science and research or exchanges on other occasions. What’re particularly warmly welcomed were the nine academic lectures given by six Chinese scholars. It is fair to say that this is a visit of academic exchanges to deepen the coordination of two sides in education and scientific research.

In the future, we will attach greater importance to international cooperation and exchanges, with a view to further extend the channels of international academic exchanges and cooperation and guarantee them to be scientific and institutionalized. We will take those scientific and research programs as carriers to deepen the exchanges by sending more teachers abroad and inviting more international friends, thus building Beijing into an international city with Chinese characteristics.
