In recent days, with the arrangement of the Department of International Cooperation and Exchange, Departments of Sociology, Law and Economics held talks with the North-West Institute respectively. The participants included not only members of Russian delegation, various BAI departments, but also those from the scientific and research project cooperated by the two sides.
On October, 15th, the Department of Sociology and the Russian delegation exchanged over the ongoing research project under the topic of “The comparative study of immigrants in China and Russia-take Beijing and St. Petersburg as an example”. All agreed that China and Russia not only shared similar background of social development, but also confronted problems incurred by rapid urbanization, thus leaving large space for cooperation between the two countries in the respects of immigration, labor force transfer, social integration and services for seniors and so on.
On October, 16th, the Department of Law and the Russian part discussed the cooperation on the scientific and research topic of law. As a result, a three-year cooperative research project was finalized.
On October, 17th, the Department of Economics communicated with the Russian institute members, not only pushing forward cooperation on the related scientific and research project, but also laying a solid foundation for consolidated cooperation over and rising attention to areas of common concern.
