Mr. Wang pointed out that results of the cooperation between BAI and UGA were considerable. For example, we had jointly held 10 consecutive U.S.-China public administration training programs, which had trained more than 200 civil servants and party & government cadres in Beijing. Mr. Wigley introduced the purpose of their visit and he specially introduced the four American lecturers who would teach in BAI this time. Mr. Zhang Tiezhu briefly summarized the preparations for the training program.

All three partners agreed the training program hosted together by UGA, BHRSSB, and BAI had become a prototype “Mode and Brand”. Through the training method of “inviting” and “going out”, with the communication between American teachers and Chinese students and the combination of lectures in class and on-the-spot investigation, the program had fulfilled the goals of improving abilities, widening vision, promoting knowledge, and strengthening mutual trust. This year’s training program was the first one in the new decade. With the last 10 years’ successful experience, all parties were confident in making the 11th training program successful and expected another successful cooperating decade.

It was reported that the delegation would also visit the Georgia Trade Representative Office in Beijing and Tianjin Administrative College this time.
