Dr. Liu Yawei, Director of U.S. Carter Centre China Program Delievered a Lecture in BAI

        On May 24th of 2010, Dr. Liu Yawei, Director of Carter Center China Program, was invited to deliever a lecture on the 84th Academic Forum, cohosted by Scientific Research Division, Dept. of International Cooperation & Exchange and Dept. of Politics. The title of his lecture was “How Americans See China Political Model?”. Mr. Liu first summarized “How Chinese see China Political Model”, then he elaborated on different opinions on “How Americans See China Political Model” i.e. positive, neutral and negative. He analyzed and commented on these different kinds of opinions in greater depth.

        The lecture was delievered in a humorous way, with abundant new information, the latest being quoted from the Washington Post just 2 days before the lecture. Before the end of the lecture, Professor Liu answered the questions raised by the audience, and then he introduced in detail the aim, characteristics and manner of operation of the Carter Centre. Directors, teachers and some graduate students from Scientific Research Division, Dept. of International Cooperation & Exchange and Dept. of Politics attended the forum.
