UGA students visit BAI

2009-07-13

From May 13th to 21st, a 12-member student delegation headed by Professor Robert Grafstein from the University of Georgia visited BAI. The Department of International Cooperation and Exchange arranged an action-packed week-long trip for the group, including two lectures – one on Chinas civil service training system, the other Matteo Ricci’s contribution to Sino-European cultural exchange – and a range of study tours to the main attractions in Beijing city, from historical site the Great Wall to modern wonder the Bird’s Nest. It was a visit that enabled the students to see through their own eyes a real China where tradition goes hand in hand with modernity, uniqueness with diversity.

As the 4th study abroad program since it started, the students played an important role in consolidating and deepening cooperation between the two sides. Their visit also strengthened the understanding, friendship and future cooperation between the two peoples.
