A delegation of female senior
officials from South Africa's public sectors visited BAI on June 11. Executive
Vice-President Shen Jie and Vice President Li Yunchi held meeting with the
delegation.
Shen stated that as the major training
center for officials in Beijing and a high-end think tank, BAI has unique
disciplinary and talent advantages in building Beijing into "four
centers" and leadership enhancement. BAI is ready to deepen its joint
research on governance with its partners in South Africa, and work hand in hand
to contribute to the great cause of building a China-Africa community of shared
future.
Lu Yuanyuan, Professor of the
Department of Economics, and Jiang Wen, Associate Professor of the Department
of Leadership Science, delivered presentations on Accelerate the Construction of the Beijing International Science and
Technology Innovation Center, and Enhance
Women's Leadership, respectively. Subsequently, the two sides conducted
in-depth discussions on how to promote gender equality, women's empowerment,
women's poverty governance, and the cultivation of innovative thinking.
BAI also took the delegation to the
City Brain Intelligent Operation Command Center in Haidian (Zhongguancun
Science City), where the delegation gained an in-depth understanding of China's
cutting-edge science and technology innovation and application in urban
governance and smart city.
