On May 9, 2024, BAI and its Ethiopian partners held an online training session on "Chinese Modernization". Nearly 180 people attended the event, including officials from Addis Ababa government,leaders, faculties and students from Addis Ababa Leadership Academy(AALA) and Oromia State University(OSU). Dr.Li Yunchi , vice president of BAI and Ms. Huang Shushu, an official from Foreign Affairs Office of Beijing Municipal government attended the training session. Mr.Chen Cong, Head of the department of International Cooperation and Exchange, presided at the session. 

Dr. Sun Shuang, associate professor of the Department of Politics, elaborated the essence and global significance of Chinese modernization. The online training sparked a heated discussion among the participants. Experts and scholars conducted in-depth discussions on the overriding goal of Chinese modernization, the role of BAI in advancing Chinese modernization, how to integrate the needs of various parties and ethnic groups in the process of modernization, etc.

The online training session of "Chinese Modernization" is an important opportunity for mutual learning and win-win cooperation ofBAI and its Ethiopia partners.
