In the morning of October 12, Professor Arnold Howitt, a
well-known emergency management expert from Harvard University's Kennedy School
of Government, was invited to carry out the lecture on "Crisis Leadership in a
Post-Pandemic World" through the Zoom platform. The lecture was attended by Liu Honglei, a member of the institute committee, some teachers and graduates.
At the meeting, Professor Howitt introduced in detail the
different characteristics of traditional emergencies and world crises, and
elaborated on the different levels and diversities of world crises. In particular,
he proposed how to deal with traditional emergencies and world emergencies.
Different solutions to the crisis have benefited everyone a lot. Professor
Howitt's lecture aroused everyone's interesting, and they had a lively
discussion on it. Liu Honglei asked questions about how to innovate emergency
management training for the sudden Covid-19 pandemic in the world; Zhang
Haiping, Director of the International Cooperation and Exchange department
conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions.
In the end,
Professor Dong Wu made a conclusion speech. He said that through exchanges and
collisions of ideas, we have strengthened everyone's crisis awareness,
broadened our international horizons, improved our level of awareness, and
strengthened our risk awareness.
