Beijing Administrative College (BAC)£¬which is directly under the Beijing Municipal Government, is an important institute to train junior and senior civil servants, administrators, and scholars.

Beijing Administrative College was established in 1949 as the Beijing Municipal Cadre School. In 1988 it set up the Beijing Municipal Administrative Cadre Training Center. In 1993 it was formally established as the Beijing Administrative College.
The College now boasts 378 staff members, including 95 professors and associate professors, 54 doctors, 112 lecturers and other specialized members. The faculty teach in nine departments: public administration, economics, business administration, politics, law, philosophy, sociology, party history and building and foreign languages.
In addition, the College is the home to several research institutes, including the Beijing Municipal Population Institute; the Beijing Municipal Institute of Governance, and the Beijing Municipal Information Center.
BAC is the flagship of several administrative schools throughout 18 districts and counties of Beijing, with a total of more than 800 personnel.
