The Second Batch of Graduates Completed the “Russian 3+3 Exchange” Program

With great success we achieved in “Russian 3+3 exchange”program two years ago,this year’s program has also gained fruitful achievement.It is the second year that we send a 3-student delegation to the North-West Institute of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration(RANEPA) for learning exchange.From April 9th to May 1st2017,Guo Hua,Liu Jinyan and Guo Hao have completed study in St. Petersburg.

 

The three students have taken part in various kinds of learning activities, including open lectures, seminars, discussion club, culture communication and museum visiting.Alltheexperience has exerted a profound influence on the progress the students have made during their study in Russia.

 

The open lecture was delivered by the General Consul of Switzerland on the topic of “Russian-Switzerland relations and diplomatic service”.The students also participated in thelectures on “Regional subsystems of international relations in the 21stcentury”, “Non-state actors in world politics”,“Global security”,“Modern foreign policy strategy of Russia and international conflicts”. Besides, the students joined the “Discussion Club”on the theme “Russian-Chinese relations”.For their research work, Guo Huafocusedon the topic of “The Russian social view on the October Revolution during its hundredth anniversary”;Liu Jinyanresearchedon the topic of “On the role of museum in the construction of public cultural system”;Guo Hao engaged himself in the topic of “Comparative analysis of export-oriented development of industrial growth in China and Russia” .They discussed their research with respective research advisor and completed the study plan with an excellent final presentation.

 

Apart from the academic activities,the students had a culture communication at the Center of Confucius with the Russian students studying Chinese language.They shared lots of difference between Russia and China in terms of cultural and religious traditions.Besides, the students visited the State Hermitage Museum as well as the Peter and Paul’s fortress,which enriched their understanding of Russian culture.

 

To sum up, all the three students have taken full advantage of the exchanging opportunity to learn and experience.According to the work plan,there will be three Russian students coming to BAI for alearning exchange next year.
