Committee of the “Two Economic Zones” of Democratic People’s Republic of Korea visited BAI

On September 16th 2012, the delegation from the Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea, or DPRK, consisting trainees from the Management Committee of two economic zones, Rason Economic Trade Zone and the Hwanggumphyong Economic Zone, paid a visit to BAI. The delegation was headed by an official from the North Pyongan Provincial Peoples Committee, and was received by Zhou Chunming, member of BAI college committee. The two sides had an exchange of views on economic, social and cultural development of China and DPRK. The trainees were very impressed by China’s growth and the friendliness of the Chinese people, and their Chinese counterparts were also left with a more direct understanding of the political and national characteristics of the people in DPRK, the fellow Socialist country.


The trainees visited Zhongguancun Science Park and some historic sites, for example the Palace Museum and Tiananmen Square. The visits were organized and accompanied by members of the Department of international Cooperation and Exchange. In the brief 4-day training session, the delegation was deeply impressed by Beijing, and was satisfied with the reception from the Chinese side.


The delegation’s visit in Beijing was an integral part of a training program for the Korean officials in China, which was undertaken by Dalian Administrative College.
