Beijing, October 23, 2023 - The Beijing
Administration Institute played host to a delegation from the Popular Movement
for the Liberation of Angola (MPLA) and officials from the Angolan Embassy in
China.
The MPLA delegation, led by Manuel Augusto,
a member of the MPLA Central Political Bureau and Secretary of Foreign Affairs,
was warmly welcomed by BAI’s Executive Vice President Zhu Baicheng and Vice
President Li Yunchi. Augusto expressed his gratitude for the reception at the
Beijing Administration Institute and emphasized the historical significance of
this year, which marks the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations
between China and Angola, as well as the 35th anniversary of the
establishment of relations between the Communist Party of China and the MPLA.
The MPLA delegation expressed their enthusiasm for the opportunity to visit the
institute, with the aim of gaining insights into the development of Chinese
party schools and the experiences and practices of the CPC in leading economic
development.
During the meeting, Executive Vice
President Zhu Baicheng underscored the political importance of party schools
and shared four major experiences. He also provided a comprehensive
introduction to the institute’s cadre education and training system, aligning
it with the recently revised “Regulations on Cadre Education and Training”
issued by the Central Committee of the CPC. Professor Zhao Li, Director of the
Department of Economics, shed light on the CPC’s leadership in economic work
over the past century from multiple perspectives, including the Party’s
aspirations and mission, goals and challenges at different stages, the
socialist fundamental economic system, macroeconomic governance system,
worldview and methodology.
Both sides engaged in a productive exchange
of ideas, sharing experiences and insights in political education and economic
development. Their discussion delved into various topics, including the
evolving primary social challenges, tasks and objectives of economic growth,
and the development of state-owned enterprises under the leadership of the
Party.
