On May 31, a delegation from Georgetown University headed by Mr. Dennis McNamara visited BAI with the purpose of learning about the practice of disaster prevention and emergency management in China. Mr. McNamara visited BAI last year.

To cater the visiting purpose, BAI hosted a workshop on disaster prevention and emergency management. Professor Dong Wu, director of the Public Administration Department, briefed on the training of emergency management in BAI. In addition, Ms. Li Ying from the Public Administration Department introduced the process and content setting of Severe Weather (Rainstorm) Emergency Disposal Scenario Simulation Class. The workshop concluded with discussions and exchanges from two sides on specific issues such as curriculum system, teacher construction and innovation. After the workshop, the delegation visited the Cemetery of Matteo Ricci and other missionaries.
