From May 4th to 26th, postgraduate students Liu Weijian
and Zhang Jinyang completed a three-week exchange program in The Russian
Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA),
Vladimir Branch. This is the first time that BAI sends students to RANEPA
Vladimir Branch. Students took part in various kinds of activities during the
program, including lectures, scientific conference, enterprise visits and city
excursions.
In their academic study, students attended altogether 14
lectures given by Russian professors, which covered a wide range of subjects
including economics, law, public administration, international relationship,
etc. Students also took part in the international scientific conference held on
May 15th and gave speeches on the topic of regional economics.
In their
practical study, students visited several enterprises and cultural sites in
cities of Vladimir region. They went into a factory in city Vladimir that
produced Russian wines, a garment factory and a mattress manufacturer in city
Kovrov and a glass factory in city Gus-Khrustalnyi. Museums, churches and
cathedrals in Vladimir, Suzdal and Murom were also on the list of their
schedule. Through their visits, they learned about the history and cultural
background of each city.
Besides, the
two students had communications with Russian students in Vladimir Branch. They
gave presentations about Chinese chess and Palace Museum to Russian students
and answered questions. Our students participated in a marketing course of
management major students on May 17th, where they were impressed by the
teaching method and atmosphere of Russian university class.
RANEPA
Vladimir Branch is BAI’s second cooperation partner of student exchange
program. So far in 2019, one out of five BAI postgraduate students could have
the opportunity to study abroad, which demonstrates the improvement of quality
of BAI’s postgraduate education.
