Recently, three postgraduate students of our institute went to Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration, North-West Institute of Management, and successfully completed a three-week exchange program, a traditional project of cooperation between our institute and the two institutes. The exchange project was established to strengthen our cooperation and friendship with the two institutes and broaden the horizon of our students.

During their stay in Russia, the students attended the “Sino-Russia Cultural Innovation Meeting and Exchange Meeting”, given the opportunity to appreciate the wonderful singing of Russia and have a preliminary understanding of the pronunciation characteristics of the Russian language. Later, they also participated in the launching ceremony of the Third Eurasia Forum, the Great Asia Europe Partnership and the “Belt and Road” strategic Arctic cooperation strategy, plan and project. The elegance of the great crocodile, professors and young scholars helped the students to form a more profound understanding of the content and significance of the “Belt and Road” initiative. At the cultural salon exchange conference, Chinese and Russian students introduced their traditional customs, enlarging each others’ horizons and deepening their understanding of both countries.

In addition, our three students felt refreshed about the Russian teaching approach: teachers often initiate a brainstorm to stimulate students' fantastic ideas in order to fully develop students' independent thinking ability. Some supplementary teaching methods are also used, such as the Nine Palace Classification and the Three Ways to cite one against the other.

Finally, under the guidance of their respective Russian tutors, the three students completed the writing of their graduation papers, which received high praise from their Russian teachers and classmates. The three students unanimously expressed that this trip to Russia has benefited them a lot. On the one hand, they got to know more about local customs and historical sites as well as made many new friends. On the other hand, this experience has opened up their horizons and established their own thinking mode, which will be of great help to their future life and study.
